Matthew told Kaleb that Grandma is now like them a boy because she has no hair... They were excited.
I would like to give a big THANK YOU to Mary Ann and Shannon for being there for my mom and bringing her all the sweets... Hopefully they will keep weight on her. :)
My mom is having a great day so far due to my Auntie Debbie. She came to visit and made home made Slav soup. My mom is starting to eat a little more. Her stomach seems to handle soups and chicken the best, but family keeps her going!
My mom always wanted granddaughters! We had a lot of fun and laughs! Great memories...
It was a great day! Lots of good food and family. My mom made a excellent meal even though she could not taste (my dad was the taste tester). We told her not to, but she did not listen and enjoyed the company.
My mom's wild side is coming out... My mom with my dad and my brother Andrew. My mom is starting to eat a little better due to my brother Ben's homecooking. Next week should be a good week for her and we are looking forward to visiting again this weekend.
My mom's saying for today is... "We survived 5 teenagers...we can survive cancer!"
My mom started this week off feeling better (still a little tired) but her coloring is better then ever. She will be working her morning class Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week and is really looking forward to it.

Another visit from another grandson. Me, Kaleb, and my mom. Play Ball!
Madison and Matthew were excited to see their grandma had the same hair style as their dad! If you are also interested in a Navy shave give Matt Golonsky a call.
My mom has been very tired after this last round of chemo on Monday and has been spending this week sleeping a lot. She will need all the rest she can get especially since the grandkids will be coming over to visit this weekend!

Dawn and my mom waiting for the chemo process to end. Dawn has been taking the boat from Catalina Island to Long Beach to be with my mom and dad while she is down south for treatments. She can use all the support she can.
My mom is very tired today, but overall feels better then the first round of chemo.
My Mom's spirits were high for her second Chemo treatment. Her Dr. was VERY PLEASED with her progress... She thinks 'things are looking good'... Mom's current saying is 'You can take my breast away, but not my family and friends!' These pictures say it all...
Bed and Breakfast at Grandma's and Grandpa's. My Mom has moved back in with her parents, during the days of her treatment.
Thank you everyone for your prayers, kind words of encouragement and especially your love and friendship...
My mom has lost all her hair and looks better than ever. This is the wig she has chosen to sport... :) Her niece Christie has helped teach her some make-up tips and she is styling her own wigs.
My Dad and Elijah enjoyed sporting some wigs... Now my Mom and Dad are down South for my Mom's second round of chemo. They were welcomed with a house full of pink (pink napkins, pink table cloths, pink hats, and pink bathroom towels) with good food and company. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for your support and taking good care of my Mom!
Here is a picture of my mom's pig that she sleeps with at night and at chemo...Susan a co-worker gave it to her as a joke, but it has provided a lot of comfort...My mom looks forward to seeing my grandma's pink house and taking a pink bath.
Yesterday was not one of my mother's best days, but today made up for it. She is working part-time and really enjoyed teaching her afternoon class. It helps keep her going and her mind off things. She will be working her afternoon class tomorrow and Friday as well. The weeks she has chemo she will be off due to it taking a toll on her body. Thank you everyone for your prayers and kind words of encouragement. They have been uplifting to her spirits.
My mom is receiving treatment at the Breast Link Medical Group in Fountain Valley, CA. Her mother and father live in Long Beach and been a big help. You can visit Breast Link's website at http://www.breastlink.com/
Above is her treatment schedule for the month of April.
Today my mom is scheduled to receive Herceptin at 9:15 am this morning. My Aunt Debbie is her designated driver for this session. She has received lots of wigs and hats, but still has her own hair. She is scheduled for a follow-up appointment with her Doctor next Monday 4/17 and Chemo #2 treatment. She has had more energy the last couple of days and spirits are high.
