My mom has been spending the last couple of days resting and trying to manage her pain. Her medication has been increased and my dad and Mireya have been doing an amazing job with the care of her wounds.

Today was an emotional day, but the Ice Cream Man came just in time to sweeten the day. We enjoyed the ice cream together, compliments of Holly, and soup from Olga.

THANK YOU!

Hi Marleen & Laura. I talked to Dawn today for the first time in what seems like years. We had a great time reliving old memories.

Thank you for having this blog. Thinking of you.

Hi Mar! We found some of your treasures at work today and played with the children, thinking of you, and loving all the love you put into your classroom! You made such great materials, and they will touch many children for many years to come! You have such talent for touching little ones lives! Love Sallies

Hi Marleen,
Ditto to what Sallie said. It's been many years since we were in our first classrooms in Monterey. I remember how difficult it was, but also, how much laughter there was in the school. Those were our FLK's and how precious they were. So much so, that we sometimes brought them home! (Boy, were we young and ready to save the world - one child at a time.) You have always given completely to children and their lives are better for your love and teaching skills.
It's another morning and I know you will face it with a smile.
I love you,
Mary
