My mom had a restful morning to build her energy for her many visitors that keep her going. She loved seeing everyone, since she was unable to get out for dinner.

Hi Marleen, Today I received an e-mail from Martha Austin McKenzie and she told me of your battle with Cancer. I am praying for you and remembering the smiling young girl in high school. I wish I could have come out with these ladies to see you last night. I just want you to know that I think about you every day. Today my students celebrated my birthday with me. It was probably one of the most special events in my life, having 16 wonderful students surrounding me and bringing joy to my life. I have always said that you are the reason that I began teaching, and today as I was sitting there I was thinking about how grateful I am to you for inspiring me to teach. You changed my world without even knowing it. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Erin Shurson and I are going to try and come out to see you on Sunday if you are up to having visitors.
Marleen, It was a joy to see you and visit with you. I am amazed at your continuing sense of humor, despite the pain you are obviously enduring.
