My mom has had a fun, busy, and exhausting last couple of weeks. She started with her last round of chemo with my dad. Then a trip to Fresno to visit Father Alex. Dorothy and Theresa are trying to get their seat beats on for their trip to visit Father Alex...it took 15 minutes to buckle the two of them up...my mom said it was very funny. Father Alex gave them his special blessing. He later treated them to lunch. She had a great day...

Then Vince, Ludy and the boys came to visit which was fun...Vince and Ludy brought dinner for them...My mom wanted to thank you for the great meal...
She ended the week going to Tachi Casino to try her luck before her chemo time was up and won $188.60 on a 2 cent slot. Tomorrow she is going to work for awhile. She gets her key to her new room and is excited.

My mom has had more energy the last couple of days and even got out of the house to see "Mama Mia" with my Aunt Debbie and Jean. She enjoyed feeling normal for a change.

My mom enjoyed the day with her kids and grand kids. She has been spending the last week resting and slowly building her energy up. Her next appointment down south is scheduled for August 1st.

"I just want to feel better..."

My mom just wants to "feel better"... This is what she keeps saying... being tired, not able to eat, and enjoy food is really a bummer for my mom. She's tried of this "cancer thing" and wishes it would all go away.
Hang in there, Mom! There is a light at the end of the tunnel, I promise!

Chemo Sucks...

Hopefully, for the last time, my mom has been reminded how much chemo sucks... These last few days she has been thankful to be back home... but has been feeling really tired and sick from her last chemo treatment.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her... WE LOVE YOU, MOM! Hang in there...! (From those Damn Kids of Yours :)

Back Home

This past Wednesday my mom had her 6th chemo and hopefully her last... She then saw her Doctor who scheduled her surgery date for August 21th, so she is hoping to be well enough for the start of her classroom year and to attend Millie's wedding, which she has been looking forward to... So... we will see...
Currently, she and my dad are on their way home. My mom can't wait to get back in her own bed and rest up until her next visit down South.
Thanks for your love, thoughts, and prayers!

Hats

Trying on hats at the "Hat" store in Shoreline Village
Don't you think this hat would be perfect for Gabe's Nono?

An Outing...

Christie got my mom out of the house and took her down to Shoreline Villiage for an outing...

Gabe and my Mom went to the "Pirate Store"... He said that would take the "grumpies" away and make her feel better.

Grandma and Grandpa are taking a break...

Grandma and Grandpa, along with Auntie Andrea, went to Dawn's house on Catalina Island to take a break for the Fourth of July. Grandma says she is on vacation but keeps checking in on my mom who is spending the fourth at her parents place with Laura and her family. And of course, there is always her good group of friends that come visiting...

Back on Track...

After having a challenging time these past few weeks... My mom got the good news Thursday, that she is back on track, with her treatments... She will be given her 6th chemo treatment this Wednesday with a follow-up discussion with her doctors regarding a surgery date.
