Annie R. Mitchell School Open House

My mom had her open house tonight at school and was very tired, so Kaleb and I stopped by to keep her going. She was very proud to show the rainbow her students made.

GREAT FRIENDS!

My Aunt Phyllis drove up from down south for the day to surprise my mom. After Kaleb's baseball game the girl's enjoyed lunch at Olive Garden and then it was off to my mom's school where my mom put Phyllis to work. Thank you Aunt Phyllis for keeping my mom's spirits up.

My mom had radiation all last week and it will continue next week. Her next appointment down south is scheduled for April 10th.

Matt's 30th

My mom's son, Matt, celebrated his birthday this year at Grandma and Grandpa's and, OF COURSE, Disneyland with his kids. He was hoping my mom would be feeling up to going... However, she has been extremely tired lately... with work, chemo, and radiation... So... the family will just have to go again sometime when my mom has more energy...

Grandma's "Bugs"

"Bugging" grandma is what my mom's grandchildren like to do best!!! They love spending time with her.

Grandma's Princess

My mom's granddaughter, Madison, enjoyed the the "Happiest Place on Earth" with the Princess...

More Radiation

My mom had another simulation appointment today where the doctor precisely identified the area on her side she will receive radiation. This involved her lying on a table while the doctor and radiation therapist marked the field with small dots made with permanent ink. Each dot is similar to a very small tattoo. She did not receive any radiation treatment during this appointment. She is schedule to start radiation on Monday at 4:00 pm.

She also was surprised with daffodils and a teddy bear from the Sequoia Regional Cancer Center.

Are you ready for a Hair-cut, yet?

Christie gives Grandpa a hair cut as we question my mom, whether she is now ready for one...

Currently, my mom's hair is coming in silky, wavy, and shiny...

A very cute do, if you ask me!

Who's the best driver...?

Yesterday, I drove my mom down South for another Dr. appointment. Sooo far, she is still claiming Christie to have been her best driver... However, most of us know Christie doesn't have the cleanest ticket record... :)
Anyhow, her appointment went well... Her Dr. is going to have her continue her current meds. with some more radiation to her left side, where her cancer continues to be localized. Hopefully, this new round of treatment will zip out the cancer...

"Hugs" for Teta

Gabe built a bear for "Teta" to hug... So he decided to name the bear "Hugs". While building the bear... the lady realized that there was a hole on the bears left side (in the same place that my mom's cancer is localized) so Gabe told the lady that she would need to give "Teta's" bear some surgery and fix her... we thought this could be a good sign... :)
